Among the top open source, PS2 emulators are NuetrinoSX2. For the emulator to run, you must install PS2 Bio files in your PC. Maud is the main developer of the emulator, although he left the coding uncomplete. Thus, you cannot play any commercial game using the emulator, as it is unfinished. Nevertheless, the compatibility of the emulator is outstanding, and its sound emulation is of high quality. Additionally, if you are a PS2 emulator developer, NeutrinoSX2 is rich with useful information, hence a good reference.
PS2EMU
The emulator was designed by three developers, namely Scar, Shunt, and Roor, to imitate PS2. However, the emulator is still being developed. The developers released a universal compiler that was only 10% complete. Although you should not expect so much from this emulator, it is highly compatible, and its development concept is unique. Arduino ps2dev libraryThis library allows arduino to emulate ps2 keyboard and/or mouse, so you can implement your own ps2 keyboard or whatever.I want to improve this, provide better documentation and arduino library manager package for it.Originaly from:. Written by Chris J. Kiick, January 2008. modified by Gene E. Scogin, August 2008.
modified by Tomas 'Harvie' Mudrunka 2019. Release into public domain.Further reading:.
(PS2 specification). (similar library using timers instead of delays)Notes.
If you are implementing keyboard you should read the commands from computer quite often. I don't know how often, but 1 second is not enough. You will miss stuff like num/caps/scroll LED changes and maybe even more important stuff needed for proper ps2 protocol initialisation. Calling keyboardhandle(.); each 10ms should be enough. Serial debug is not intended to be enabled in production code. Use it only during development.
Otherwise it might mess up the protocol timing.TODO. Add mode, where attachInterrupt will be used to watch CLK pin instead of need to constantly poll it using available or keyboardhandle. Add mouse protocol handling directly to library.
Add scancode table. Check against Arduino API style guide:. Check why there are occasional issues with PS2Keyboard library. I've been using this to send keystrokes between two arduinos (from ps2dev to PS2Keyboard) and there are some issues (missed keystrokes). So i had to use SoftwareSerial.h instead, ditching the PS2 compatibility. We need to debug this.Special thanks.
